About

Welcome to the website of a research project exploring digital technologies for communicating the culinary heritage of Slovenian Australians.

In this project culinary heritage is emphasised as one of the primary indicators of identity, an important part of intangible heritage and a universal way of bringing people together. Furthermore, a broad idea of the project is to extend this platform to future cross-cultural hubs working jointly towards a harmonious and creative multicultural Australian society.

IMG_2689eThis website is a sandbox for new ideas, a place to promote discussion and as such a prototype of the potential future Slovenian Australian Cook Hub. Therefore, its content and appearance might change. It is based on a WordPress platform and due to the free version of its domain, some of the visitors may occasionally see advertisements. The text is not proofread.

You can open a project description, short articles, the Slovenian food providers geolocated on the interactive GoogleMaps, and other content by clicking PROJECT, BLOG, MAP OF AU, etc. from the menu bar.
